When I Used To Be A Huge Hamilton Nerd

It’s been a while since I’ve really been into Hamilton: An American Musical. I’m almost ashamed to admit the lyrics to the songs don’t come as easily to me they used to.

I remembered the last year, when the vice president of Speech and Debate (now president) was about to speak.

And being a slightly geekier Hamilton fan than I am now, seeing him standing there just brought on a myriad of potential references.

So I caught his attention and said: “MR. VICE PRESEIDENT!”

He looked up expectantly, like he thought I had something legitimately important to say to him. When, really, I was on the verge of screeching:

“I AM NOT THE REASON NO ONE TRUSTS YOU. NO ONE KNOWS WHAT YOU BELIEVE–“

Yeah, that wouldn’t have gone over very well with him.

Maybe I’ll keep my Hamilton references in the back for now.
