What I’ve Been Up To During Self-Isolation

2020 really hasn’t been too kind, has it?

Long time, no see. I never would’ve imagined the next time I wrote on this blog, the last nine weeks of school would be canceled and everyone would essentially be in quarantine. For a virus, no less.

Luckily, I have the resources to continue communicating with my friends and to graduate my classes.

The original draft for this blog was “everyone uses prezi and quizlet to get their shizzle done” and I think this is an ironic time to finally get back to it and discuss it.

My statistics teacher was commenting on the sudden upswing of his students’ grades during the last month of self-isolation, especially since many of them had been failing. Cheating? Perhaps.

But I think they may have been using the old age method of quizleting on the tests they wouldn’t have had the chance to do otherwise. I don’t do this myself since I think it’s inefficient, but I can see the appeal of it.

Anywho, I’ve been dealing with this self-isolation fairly well. I admit I haven’t bothered to look at my physics class since it started, but knowing me, I’ll get nervous and pull an all-nighter to do all of it once.

I’ve also been trying to get into hobbies. I’ve acquired some zucchini by chance so I’ll try my hand at making zucchini spaghetti. When I’m not doing school, I do hope that this will give me time to learn how to cook properly.

My parents have been pushing me to learn how to make traditional food, but I just wanna know how to make lasagna, meatballs, tacos, pizza, and chicken noodle soup.

I also want to throw myself into my online jobs to make more dough since summer vacation (ha) is coming up too. Sticker sales at school have come to a screeching halt for obvious reasons, but that doesn’t mean I can’t fund my cooking adventures.

Anyway, I hope ya’ll are finding ways to keep yourselves occupied.

You don’t have to learn how to to knit, sew, cook, or draw like everyone on the internet is saying. You can just lie in bed and watch anime all day, because no one’s judging you. It’s up to you how you feel about spending time like that.

Good luck and May (haha) the odds be ever in our favor.
