2020 Halfway Recap

The first half of 2020 has been…memorable. Very memorable.

In the first week of January 2020, my friend and I had a collective breakdown because we knew our classes were going to become harder, and facing a brand new decade was scary. The last decade was wild enough, but our futures will be decided in this decade.

However, we had no idea what would be coming. Yes, coronavirus. But with that, our way of life (school, outings, hugging) was turned pretty much upside down. We had ways to connect with each other, but it wasn’t quite the same.

It isn’t quite the same.

Once school closed, my fate was sealed as far as my classes went. I forfeited passing for the first time in my life and had to go through an absolutely soul-crushing redo of the class during the month of June.

And honestly, words cannot describe the utter relief I’m feeling that June and the first half of 2020 is finally. In the previous years, I would wonder where the heck the time had gone, but this time….I’m just glad it’s over.

Hopefully, I’ll see you all by the end of the year and for many more years after that. It’s one pandemic. Humanity has gone through much worse in the past.

Like, C’MON people, humanity is NOT over until we have flying cars or have seen the last season of Boku No Hero Academia. Sorry, but I don’t make the rules.
